Changes to the list of species with an ESA designation, updates to species ranges, and new documentation related to ESA listed species occur frequently. USFWS houses listed species data in several different species reports across their Environmental Conservation System (ECOS) and NMFS houses data for species under their jurisdiction in their Species Directory. AMMPS includes species data compiled from ECOS reports and the NMFS Species Directory and provides a searchable way to interact with species attribute information. Enhanced species queries and data views are available through the Client Portal and the public species data will be expanded in future updates to include additional species attributes.
